The reason I call this fanlisting "Fit To Be Tied" is because there was so much tension in this episode and so much running around. To start it all off, Van has a recruiter from the
University of Southern california in Los Angeles coming to see him to offer him a scholarship to play football for their team. Van and Cheyenne are both excited, but Reba doesn't want
them to take it. She wants them to stay close by. Brock, on the other hand, thinks it would be a great opportunity for Van and being the assistant coach for the HS football team at Van and
Cheyenne's school, he tells Reba he is going to be rooting Van on to take USC's offer.
To keep Brock from doing so, she convinces him to go on this camping trip that he wants to go on, but is afraid to because Barbra Jean is so close to having her baby. But Reba convinces him to go
anyway. Just when Reba thinks she has nothing to worry about, Cheyenne starts having labor pains in the middle of their session with the USC recruiter. So they get rid of him and everyone is on their
way to the hospital. Barbra Jean later arrives after receiving Reba's message and says that she is unable to get a hold of Brock on his cell phone. Well all is well when the doctor concludes that Cheyenne
is not in labor and it was just a false alarm. He says that nobody was having a baby that day. Just as he says that, Barbra Jean pipes in and says her water just broke. Reba is mortified to find that Barbra
Jean was sitting on her purse at the time---major LOL moment. :)
So it becomes official that Barbra Jean is in labor. She is frantic because they can't get a hold of Brock. She can't understand why he would go camping now. He wasn't going to go but then decided he was. She asks
Reba why he would do that. Reba very innocently says who knows why men do what they do. She tries to convince Barbra Jean she'll be fine without him. So she asks Barbra Jean what she could do
to make her more comfortable and Barbra Jean says she could rub her legs. Of course Reba isn't about to do that and says that she'll go and get Brock.
After arriving at Brock's campsite, Brock goes crazy finding out Barbra Jean is in labor. So he and Reba take off for the hospital. In the meantime, Van and Cheyenne are helping Barbra Jean
through her labor. Brock finally gets a hold of her on the cell phone and they both talk so sweetly. The cutest part, and funniest, is when he says, "Brocky loves you too.....oh yes he does my little
puddin' pie.." Reba immediaetly slams on the brakes and Brock hits his head on the dashboard and Reba says, "Oh sorry...skunk" (yeah right Reba).
Anyways, it appears that Barbra Jean still has plenty of time for Brock to get there, but upon the nurses examination of her, she appears to fully dilated and ready to push. She's sad because Brock's not there
but Van and Cheyenne tell her they're there for her. But the really sweet part is Brock is still able to help coach her over the phone and she and Brock have a baby boy. Everyone is so happy and then Brock has a
terrifying thought---he and Reba HAVE to get to the hospital before Barbra Jean names the kid Jesus---another major LOL moment.
Everyone is finally all together and Henry Charles Jesus (the spanish pronunciation) Hart is welcomed into the world. And although Van had decided to take USC's offer, he decides that it would better for him,
Cheyenne, and their baby to stay in Houston near family. So finally everyone can settle down and relax and not be fit to be tied.
